Privacy Policy

What data we collect

We collect only the data you choose to send us through the enquiry form: inquiry type, company name, contact person, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, industry, products of interest, estimated quantity and unit, supply frequency, contract duration, product specifications, delivery country and city, and any message you write.

We do not operate accounts, and we do not ask for payment details, identity documents, or any special category of personal data through this website.

When you send the form, your IP address and technical signals from your browser are also used, briefly, to keep automated spam out (see "Who processes it on our behalf"). This rests on our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse, and none of it is stored with your enquiry.

Every visit is also counted by Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookies, and measured by Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie notice (see "Cookies and analytics").

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your data solely to respond to your enquiry: to prepare a quotation, prepare a contract supply proposal, and follow up on that request.

The lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to a commercial enquiry addressed to us. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a commercial relationship are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.

Where an enquiry leads to a supply relationship, the associated records are retained for as long as the relationship continues and thereafter for the period required by applicable Omani commercial and tax law.

Who processes it on our behalf

Website hosting and delivery: Vercel Inc.

Delivery of your enquiry to our sales inbox by email: Resend.

Bot detection on form submissions: Vercel BotID (Vercel Inc.), which checks technical signals from your browser when you send the form so that automated submissions can be refused. It sets no cookies.

Limits on how often the form can be sent: Upstash (Upstash, Inc.), which keeps short-lived counters under a one-way code derived from your IP address, never the address itself. They are deleted automatically within 10 minutes.

Website analytics: Vercel Analytics (Vercel Inc.), which counts page views on every visit without cookies, and Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, with Google LLC as its processor), only if you accept it in the cookie notice. What they collect, the cookies involved and how to switch Google Analytics off are set out under "Cookies and analytics" below.

These providers process data only on our instructions. Some are located outside Oman, which means your data may be transferred abroad; we rely on the providers' contractual data-protection commitments for those transfers.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics does not run on this website until you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Reject, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it never loads, and the site works exactly the same. Vercel Analytics, described below, sets no cookies and is not part of that choice: it counts every visit.

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, with Google LLC as its processor) sets two cookies: _ga, which tells one browser's visits apart, and _ga_<ID>, which keeps the current session. Both expire after 13 months. Google Signals and every advertising feature are switched off, so the data is not used for advertising or linked to a Google account, and Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

Vercel Analytics (Vercel Inc.) sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why it runs without asking. It counts page views, with the page, the referring site, the approximate location and the type of device, operating system and browser, using a hash of the request that is discarded within 24 hours, so it cannot recognise you on a later day. We see only totals.

Both services may process this data in the United States. Google LLC and Vercel Inc. are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and both use standard contractual clauses where that framework does not apply.

Google Analytics runs only on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the consent provisions of Oman's Personal Data Protection Law, Royal Decree 6/2022). You can withdraw it at any time: choose Cookie settings at the foot of any page, then Reject. Google Analytics stops at once and its cookies are deleted; withdrawing does not affect measurement that took place before. Vercel Analytics rests on our legitimate interest in knowing how many people use the site and which pages help them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); because it identifies no one and stores nothing on your device, it does not depend on the cookie notice.

Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage for 12 months, after which we ask again. It is not a cookie and is never sent to us.

Two other small items are needed for the site to work as you would expect, and are never shared: a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), set only when you view the site in a language different from your browser's and deleted when you close the browser; and a session-storage entry (rgtx:intro) that remembers the opening animation has already played, cleared when you close the tab. The site sets no marketing or profiling cookies.

The map on the Contact page is embedded from Google Maps and loads with that page. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy; we do not use it to measure visits.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to provide a copy of it, to correct it if it is inaccurate, to delete it, or to stop using it for a particular purpose.

You may also withdraw your consent to Google Analytics at any time under Cookie settings at the foot of any page (see "Cookies and analytics").

To make a request, email info@ragtex.co We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may raise the matter with the competent Omani supervisory authority.

Security

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry data is limited to Ragtex personnel who need it to respond to you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date shown above.
